Lesson planning is one of the most critical parts of teaching. From my own experience I found that some of the best days that I had in the classroom happened when I had a solid plan in place, even if I didn’t quite stick to the plan. There always has to be room for movement and as things come up we have to be willing to be flexible in order to meet our learners where they are. But, having a solid plan in place means that you have clearly defined your goals. Clearly defined goals can be met in a variety of ways, even if that means that you have to deter from your plans to best reach your students.
